Cavite Curfew In MECQ Resets Says Governor Remulla

Cavite Curfew In MECQ Resets Starting April 12, 2021

CAVITE CURFEW IN MECQ – According to Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla, the curfew hours in Cavite will reset starting April 12, 2021.

Following the week-long enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), the national government decided to impose a modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from April 12 to April 30. With this, certain adjustments were made in the quarantine hours.

In his official Facebook account, Remulla announced that “Curfew is reset 10 PM to 4:30 AM”. Cavite, much like Metro Manila, Laguna, Rizal, and Bulacan are under the new NCR Plus bubble.

Earlier, provinces within the NCR Plus Bubble were placed under an ECQ from April 29 to April 11. Since then, OCTA Research group said that the reproduction rate of the COVID-19 virus had significantly dropped. However, they recommended that NCR Plus be placed in another week of ECQ or two more weeks of MECQ.

Meanwhile, mall operations in Cavite remain the same as ECQ. This meant that malls would be open starting from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Furthermore, supermarkets and grocery stores retain their regular hours. Additionally, walking, jogging, and biking “within your area” is allowed given that social distancing and basic health protocols are followed.

Still, Remulla reminded that hospitals are still under critical capacity. In his post, the governor stated:

“Puno pa din ang lahat ng hospital at kung hindi naman puno ay kulang na sa frontliners dahil karamihan ay tinamaan na ng COVID. Hindi dahil MECQ na ay puede na muli ang lahat ng bawal. Save yourselves and help save others”

On the other hand, Metro Manila, despite being under the MECQ retains curfew hours of 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. according to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
