Vilma Santos was asked about Jessy Mendiola
Actress-politician Vilma Santos made revelations about her daughter-in-law Jessy Mendiola, the wife of her son Luis Manzano.
Jessy and Luis officially got married last February in a civil wedding ceremony, but they are planning for a bigger wedding this coming December if the COVID-19 situation eases.
Previously, Vilma, also known as Ate Vi in the entertainment industry, was one of the persons who have to hide the information about the wedding at The Farm at San Benito.
The newlywed couple just revealed that they already tied the knot in the recent YouTube vlog of Jessy, As a mother, Vilma Santos was emotional during the ceremony.
Based on the article by entertainment columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal, the Star For All Season revealed a few things about Jessy Mendiola.
When asked what she likes the most about her daughter-in-law, the actress-politician said, “Her amiable personality, being natural, God-fearing. And of course, how she loves Lucky.”
Vilma Santos, as he has known his son from birth, also shared her advice to Jessy on how to handle Luis. The veteran star said that she knows her daughter-in-law has been with his son for quite a long time now.
“Bilang ina, ang masasabi ko lang, kung titingnan ninyo si Lucky externally, he’s a funny man. Pero kung kilala mo ang puso niya, Lucky is very compassionate and emotional. He cries easily. Malambot ang puso n’ya sa pagtulong sa tao,” Ate Vi said.
With this, she said that her advice to Jessy is that “just be yourself, always keep the love alive, and respect the relationship.”
The veteran star also said that she and Edu Manzano are proud of their son and that they know that he is ready for the next chapter of his life with Jessy Mendiola. For Vilma, she is a liberated and cool mother and she is seeing herself this way also as a mother-in-law.
Vilma Santos added that the best part of this is that she now has a “daughter” but it will be challenging for her if she will be doing enough.
