Thinking that her big stomach is just because she gained weight and the pain is just the effect of working out, Janella had herself check-up when the pain reached the point of being unbearable unabling her to walk. Her illness manifested wayback in September 2020 and after being diagnosed, it has been found out that the mass in her left ovary is already malignant and she’s on stage 3 of cancer.

She underwent an operation earlier than has been scheduled because she started vomitting green. And at such a young age, being diagnosed with such disease, Toni asked her, “Paano mo tinake yun?”

Showing strength and bravery while narrating as she recall that time, Janella shared, “Sobrang nanghihina po ako nun. Lagi akong umiiyak. Kasi parang sa isip ko gusto kong mag-enjoy eh kaso bata pa ko eh. Imbes na nag-aaral ako ngayon kasi online class, nandito ako sa ospital, nakahilata.”

After operation, the pain is still returning and she immediately started doing chemotherapy. She needs to finish 28 chemotherapies and she’s already done with around seven (7) to eight (8) sessions. And despite everything that she went through, she never did questioned God about her situation but instead trusted his Will and hopeful that after all the pain that she would have to go through, something beautiful is going to happen next.

All throughout the video, the young girl never did answer negatively about herself and her disease. All she did showcase is her strength and her positivity that all of those things happening to her will soon pass. She has a strong faith in God and her bravery to face such struggles at such a young age is something that moved and inspired a lot of viewers. There was never a time that she complained why it has to be her to be put in that situation.

At the end of the video, to which all the proceeds will be given to her, Toni shared some piece of realization.

And here are some of the comments of the netizens:

The way she talked makikita mo talagang she’s really strong and mature . I’m older than her but she inspire me and teach me that continue to fight without complaining to God but to Trust Him💗

Toni is trying to compose herself to stay calm & hold her tears. The woman full of wisdom.

When Ate Toni asked ‘paano mo tinake yun?’ I started tearing up and I don’t know why.

Yung pinipigilan ni toni umiyak pero yung luha ko di ko napigilan ☹️
