Man in Ilocos Sur Died for Backing Drunk Friend and Received 2 Strong Punch

An elderly man in Ilocos Sur died with two (2) punch after he backs his drunk friend who cat-called a young lady who seek help from the suspect.

A 49-year-old man was killed by two blows to the face after engaging in a confrontation in Barangay Pudoc West, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur. The victim was identified as Eddie Manantan Sr. y Maqui, married, hollow blocks maker and resident of Bangar, La Union.

Man Died in Ilocos Sur

The suspect, Silbino Lazaro y Sanchez, 55, married, resident of Brgy. Pudoc West, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur. According to the investigation, the incident started when 20-year-old student Angelica May Legaspi y Nuto was on her way home.

It allegedly happened to a drinking group that included the victim and a man named Antonio Maron Jr., 44-years-old. Maron allegedly told Angelica “Hi Love” and the girl considered it obscene.

As a result, she immediately seeks help and she complained to the suspect. The suspect immediately went with a man named Guillermo Villanueva to the drinking group and confronted Maron.

Manantan allegedly intervened and responded with a rebuke, so the suspect turns his anger to him and punched him twice in the face. Due to the force of the blow, the victim was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead-on-arrival.
