Drunk Policeman Shot 19-year-old Youth to Death Over Misunderstanding in Laguna
A 19-year-old youth died after being shot by a policeman during their drinking session as they have a misunderstanding in Calamba, Laguna.
A young lad worker died in Calamba, Laguna due to a misunderstanding with a policeman. The victim was identified as Leovil Brian Pelletero, a helper in a clothing business.

He was shot by the suspect identified as Police Corporal Javier Ian Medel of the Cabuyao police. The victim was rushed to the Global Medical Center but later died due to a bullet wound to his stomach.
After the shooting incident, Medel immediately surrendered to the Calamba City police and was detained, according to police chief Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Villamor.
According to the initial investigation, Pelletero and Medel were allegedly drinking on Sunday when there was a heated argument between the two that resulted in the crime.
“Binaril niya agad. Kaunting pagkakamali papatayin niya agad (He shot him immediately. He killed him right away over a simple mistake),” said Pelletero’s cousin in a message to Rappler.
