ECQ Implemented in NCR & 4 Nearby Provinces
NCR – The whole National Capital Region and four provinces such as Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite are under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 4, 2021.
The COVID-19 pandemic is still the biggest challenge that the Philippines is facing now. The number of new cases of coronavirus recorded daily has increased and the spike is quite alarming.
Currently, several hospitals are near to their full capacity for COVID-19 patients. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) are already setting up modular or pop-up hospitals to assist the big hospitals in catering the patients.
Everyone is urged to practice the health protocols in the fight against the spread of the pandemic. The wearing of face mask and the practice of social distancing must be followed.
Currently, community quarantine measures are still up in the country. The whole National Capital Region (NCR) and four provinces where most cases of COVID-19 were recorded are under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) now. The said provinces are Bulacan, Laguna, cavite, and Rizal.

The ECQ in NCR and the four (4) aforementioned provinces will be implemented starting 12:00 midnight of March 29 until Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, only those who have essential purposes like the buying of food or medicine are allowed to leave their residences.
The curfew was also adjusted and it will now cover 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Mass gathering over 10 people are not allowed and dine-in are also not allowed in restaurants. Based on the report, groceries and drugstores in malls are allowed to open.
With regards to the private establishments, only 50% of the workforce will be allowed to work except those which are in essential services like hospitals. The public transportation is allowed but it depends on the guidelines of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
