Manila Bay Dolomite Gets Makeover After Large Percentage Fades Back To Black

MANILA BAY DOLOMITE GETS MAKEOVER – Less than a year into its announcement, the dolomite beach gets a major update.

Previously, critics of the dolomite beach lambasted the project saying it was a waste of tax payers money. But was it really?

Initially, the project went viral around mid September, a month after the Philippines reported all-time-high COVID-19 cases. However, when the government opened it to the public, supporters rallied and gawked at its beauty.

Still, beauty fades, and for the case of the dolomite bay, beauty fades fast. Following its initial redo, the government decided to drastically change the Bay’s appearance. Now, instead of dolomite (which already faded back to black), stones are being placed on top.

Apparently, the sides of the bay are most prone to the harsh waves dragging the dolomite to the sea. So, instead of constantly refilling the sand with dolomite, netizens claimed that the government filled it with stones instead.

Meanwhile, Redditor u/thebuddywithglasses, posted this areal view of the dolomite Bay. He reported that “two hills of dolomite covered in black tarp can be seen on stand-by for another RE-FILL”.

Rest-assured, this won’t be the last time we see the dolomite bay. As long as there’s a budget, the government can continue to re-fill the dolomite whenever necessary.
