Actress Angel Locsin just recently expressed gratitude to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto because of this particular reason.

Amid the pandemic, Mayor Vico is known as one of the busiest government officials. He has been receiving positive reactions because of the measures that his administration is doing for the people in Pasig. Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, he has already brought dramatic changes to the city after he took oath as the new Mayor after almost three decades of a family’s reign.

The current health crisis in the Philippines did not stop him from extending help, now that it is more needed. However, it was inevitable that he had to stop 14 days of his work because he needed to be quarantined.

In a recent social media post, the young mayor shared that he had a close contact with a driver who died of COVID-19. Following the health protocols that he is also implementing in Pasig, Vico Sotto had to isolate himself for two weeks.

Although he had tested positive on the fourth day after had close contact, he still chose to be a good example to others. “Kahit negative, tinapos ko pa rin ang 14days dahil ito ang sabi sa DOH Guidelines. Maaari kasing nag iincubate pa lang ang virus,” the son of Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes said.

Because of this Angel Locsin thanked Mayor Vico Sotto. “Glad you’re ok! Maraming salamat sa pagsunod sa rules!” the actress wrote in her reply to the tweet of the mayor.
