Sec. Teddy Locsin showed support for Kris Aquino
Actress-host Kris Aquino caught the attention of the online community last Sunday when she uploaded her “my truth” video as a response to the intense bashing that her family received on social media.
Kris said that she had to address her detractors who have been tarnishing the reputation of the Aquinos. Apparently, the Queen of all Media was pointing to political motives as the reason behind the attack against her and her sons.
However, Kris stressed that the current President has nothing to do with the criticisms against her. She even cited that Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teddy Locsin Jr., who she described as a close family friend, is working under the Duterte administration but their friendship is still there and this would not change.
The DFA head has been showing support for Kris Aquino since day 1. Amid the recent fight that the actress-host is facing, Locsin once again was ready to show support.
Manila Bulletin reported the tweet that the Secretary had for Kris after the latter’s fierce reply to bashers. “You are gold Kris and brave unlike your detractors who are cowards, none of them have ever been in firefights like you and I. I can tell real fighters from make believe. But don’t be upset. They are nobodies in every sense,” Locsin said.
The Twitter account of the news entity posted this with caption: “Locsin skips ‘serious’ tweets to defend Kris Aquino from online bashers.”
Locsin retweeted this with the clarification that his tweet to Kris was the “most serious tweet since I started on Twitter.” “That girl was put under my protection by her mother and that obligation outlived her,” he added.
Kris Aquino shared this tweet of the DFA Secretary and used the lyrics of the song One Friend.
