Ex-Convict Husband Arrested After Shot Wife with Slingshot While Being Drunk
A husband who was an ex-convict and under the influence of alcohol arrested after he tries to slingshot his wife with sharp arrow.
A husband is now facing multiple charges after his wife complained of mistreatment. He allegedly almost killed his wife while being drunk at their house in Norzagaray town, Bulacan province, on Tuesday, March 16.
In the report from P/Lt. Col. Avelino Protacio, chief of the Norzagaray Municipal Police Station (MPS), identified the arrested suspect as Edgardo Lakandula, an ex-convict in the Robbery case and a resident of Brgy. FVR, in said town.

Lakandula is facing charges of Attempted Parricide related to RA 9262 (Anti-Violence against Women and Their Children), BP 6 (Concealing Deadly Weapon), and violation of RA 9165 (Dangerous Drug Act).
According to the report, while under the influence of alcohol, the suspect took his slingshot and sharp arrow then shot that could nearly have stabbed his wife. However, the sharp arrow fortunately missed and hit the wall.
As a result, the wife hurried out of the house and asked for help from the authorities who responded immediately which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
After being arrested, five sharp arrows, a kitchen knife, and two sachets of suspected shabu were seized from the suspect. It was found out that this was not only the first time that the suspect had shot his wife but it was often done when drunk.
