2 Airport Personnel in Davao Electrocuted Inside Isolation Facility
Davao International Airport employees were electrocuted after while fixing the canopy pole at the isolation facility.
In a report of ABS-CBN News, a utility worker was killed while a member of the security unit was injured after they were electrocuted at the isolation facility of Davao International Airport Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Sasa Police Station report, 39-year-old Akmad Catuyo fled and sustained injuries when the incident occurred. He is now being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Edgardo Lacabo, 31, died immediately due to severe electrical injuries. The two allegedly tried to fix the canopy tent pole at the exit gate of the isolation facility after it was slightly damaged due to strong winds.
Based on the report, the two were accidentally electrocuted due to a broken electrical wire connected from the “portalet” or portable toilet. Medical personnel responded immediately.
Davao Light and Power Co. immediately responded to the broken electrical wires. The local government will provide assistance to the families of the victims.
