Efren “Bata” Reyes Explains His Alleged Arrest in a Raid Incident at Billiard Hall
The billiard legend Efren “Bata” Reyes explains his presence in a raid at billiard hall and allegedly arrested for violating quarantine protocols.
Earlier, Reyes was arrested during the police raid in billiard hall amid the prohibition due to the pandemic. Video footage shows the hall of famer included among those arrested by law enforcers while playing billiards despite the government banning it due to health crisis.

Based on the previous article, Reyes and other players, organizers and spectators of the pool game were taken to the barangay hall for violating strict quarantine protocols due to the pandemic. According to the police, the game has no permit.
Meanwhile, after the incident, Reyes explained his presence in the said apprehension at the illegal billiard hall. According to him, they weren’t arrested but were just reprimanded and allowed to go home shortly after.
He stressed that he was invited to join the exhibition game but he didn’t know that the game has no permit. However, Reyes is still a senior citizen, which means he is not allowed to go outside of his home, unless for essential activities.
