Cebu Reporter Slaps Woman Allegedly for Not Wearing Mask Caught on Camera

CEBU REPORTER – A media personnel slaps a woman during the operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) allegedly for not wearing face masks

On Facebook, CCTV footage was shared showing the journalist identified as Benjie Talisic apparently enforce the health protocol himself after he slapped a woman for allegedly not wearing a face mask.

According to the Cebu Social Media post, the incident happened in the middle of the raid conducted by the PDEA. Talisic, newspaper personnel, often monitors this kind of operation to make up the story.

Talisic, who works for a well-known newspaper, was caught on CCTV furiously slapped the woman who just wanted to witness the operation. Several children also witnessed what the reporter did.

Meanwhile, netizens were furious and said that Talisic has no right to do this to the resident even if it violates the government’s health protocols. Meanwhile, Talisic gave a message to his compatriots in Cebuano.

He apologized for what he did, but netizens still criticized his apparent self-defense. It’s a good thing that there is CCTV but people can just forget what the reporter did.

People asked for Raffy Tulfo’s help to give a lesson to the said reporter. Talisic’s newspaper company and the woman who received the slap have not yet issued a statement.
