Young Girl Rescued From High Father Who Tried to Hang Her While OFW Mom on VC

Authorities rescued a 3-year-old girl after her father allegedly high from drugs tried to hang her while her OFW mom is on video call (VC).

With the joined force of Bocaue Philippine National Police (PNP), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Barangay officials, girl,3, was rescued from her father’s hands after he threatened to hang her while his OFW wife was video calling in Barangay Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan last night.

According to a report by P/Major Marvin Aquino, Chief of Police of the Bocaue Municipal Police Station, the suspect was identified as Ferdie Tamondong, who is now in custody and faces multiple charges for threatening to hang his 3-year-old son while talking to the overseas wife.

It was past 11:00 pm when the rescue operation was conducted at the couple’s house in Northville, Barangay Batia, Bocaue due to the suspect’s mistreatment. He even showed the OFW’s wife in a video call the threat to hang his own child.

As a result, the mother sought help from relatives and barangay officials. She also shows the video recorded from the suspect to the police and her relatives.

In the video sent, the suspect was standing suspected of being drugged and ties an iron chain around the toddler’s neck with the end tied to the ceiling of the house.

The child clings to the father’s neck and when it possibly released, she will be strangled. The victim, on the other hand, was rescued from the inhumane act of her father.

Her father, on the other hand, was caught running. The toddler was so scared that her relative took care of her after the suspect was arrested. Tamondong was found in possession of several packages of suspected shabu.
