PDP-Laban Urges Pres. Duterte To Run As Vice President
DUTERTE – A resolution urging President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to run as vice president in the 2022 elections circulates in PDP-Laban.
Roughly a year from now, the Filipinos are set to once again exercise their rights to suffrage or their right to vote. The 2022 Elections will have several national posts open including the position of the president.
Several surveys have already determined the names of the possible presidential candidates in the next election. The name of presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio topped the list.
However, the Davao City Mayor is vocal about having no plans to run for the highest post in the government in the next election. Her decision is welcomed, supported, and agreed with by Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte who said he does not want his daughter to go through what Chief Executives have to go through.

There have already been a lot of talks about the presidential race while things are quiet mum when it comes to the next vice president. Recently, a report related to it crossed the surface.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the political party of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan or more commonly called as PDP-Laban, is urging him to run as vice president in the 2022 elections.
A resolution urging the President to run for vice president in the next election is currently circulating in the ruling party. Based on the report, his party mates believe that having him as the VP is better as he can help the next president finish what he has started. The recovery efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic were cited.
With regards to the presidential candidate of PDP-Laban in the next elections, the party has yet to decide for it. Meanwhile, the President will surely have a big say on it.
