Buses at BIR Road Terminal Failed to Observe Safety Protocols Amid Soaring Cases of COVID-19
The buses at BIR road terminal reportedly failed to observe the safety protocols amid the soaring cases of the coronavirus disease.
The old bus terminal at Agham Road in Quezon City has been transferred at the BIR Road in compliance with the safety protocols and quarantine guidelines issued by the Department of Labor and Employment.
On Tuesday (March 9, 2021), DOLE ordered the operators to disinfect the buses before it travels and accept passengers. The agency also urged the operators to ensure that the vehicles have proper ventilation.
The drivers doesn’t have disinfectants on their vehicles and some passengers do not wear face shields and even not wearing their face masks properly. Some driver failed to check the temperature of their passengers.
The bus drivers at the terminal in BIR road explained that they could follow the COVID-19 health protocols but some of them failed to obey the safety measures. Some drivers are disinfecting their vehicles at their garage.

Other drivers are prohibiting passengers who were not complying on safety protocols to get on the bus.
