Makati Public Safety Dept Raids 2 Bars After Customers Violate Health Protocols

The Makati Public Safety Dept raided two bars in Makati City and caught over 60-70 individuals violating the health protocols.

Poblacion Police Community Precinct Deputy Sub-station Commander police Lt. Exequiel Caluya coordinated with Makati Public Safety Department to conduct the raid. The authorities raided two high end bars on Saturday dawn (March 6, 2021).

The police authorities initially raided a club in General Luna Street at Barangay Poblacion and followed a bar in Burgos Street at the same village. The cops caught the customers failing to observe physical distancing measures amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Sumunod na lang sila sa rules, lalong-lalo na sa social distancing kasi mahigpit pa rin po,” Caluya said.

The cops did not detained the quarantine violators but they are required to pay a fine of P1,000 for violating the safety protocols amid the health crisis. The police station would still make a decision if they would shut down the establishments.

The authorities also advised the public to avoid mass gatherings and going to parties during this time of pandemic.

“Alam naman natin hanggang ngayon bawal pa rin ‘yun. ‘Pag lumabag sila, mapipilitan kami gumawa ng aksyon,” Caluya added.
