The agency has appealed to parents and students not to patronize the “answer for sale” or “sagot-for-sale” scheme where some certain individual offers to answer the self-learning module themselves.

“We appeal to the parents and students to refrain from doing this. Kung walang demand dito, the supply will die out,” statement by DepEd Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan in an interview with Dobol B TV.

“Iyon naman po ay pinapatingnan, papatingnan natin sa ating mga kasama at magpapa-validate tayo ng mga naulat,” said by DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio at the Always Ready briefing.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian earlier ordered the DepEd in investigating another bad scheme that has emerged in the distance learning of students. According to the report that reached the Senator, there are parents that pay other people to answer their children’s module.

Based on the previous article, the report came from a teachers group at a hearing in the Senate basic education committee on the implementation of blended and distance learning modules in the middle of the pandemic.

Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio emphasized they will not be able to solve the problem if the parents would want to develop cheating to their children. “At ang sabi po ni Ma’am Liling, hindi naman pwedeng pilitin natin na maging honest yan, o magcomply lahat ng bata.”
