Sharon Cuneta talked about financial matters
Megastar Sharon Cuneta admitted that she has “utang” right now and here is the reason why this happened.
Sharon, with her status in the Philippine entertainment industry, is indeed among the wealthiest celebrities. In a recent interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel, the Megastar shared these things about her finances.
The actress-singer revealed that the year 2020 was supposed to be a very busy year as her time scheduled concerts and concert tours for her.
It is in preparation for her previously reported plan to retire from the entertainment industry. Sharon Cuneta said that she and Regine Velasquez were supposed to go to Australia and the US for their iconic concert tour last year.
Aside from this, Mega revealed that there were five or seven movies lined up for her. Her 2021 was supposed to be a mellow year for her as she approaches her retirement.
However, all of these were postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. “Buti na lang, sa bait ng Panginoon, may nabenta akong real estate properties na wala akong trabaho,” the Megastar shared. She said that she was able to sell those properties in October or November of 2019.
“Kung hindi ko naibenta ‘yon, di ko alam, kasi ang laki ng utang ko,” Sharon said. Ogie interrupted with an expression of disbelief that someone like the Megastar will have “utang”.
Sharon Cuneta explained that it was good debt as she intended the money for real estate investments. “Lahat ng tao na naka-ipon at umasenso, for sure, naka-utang ‘yon sa bangko,” she said.
The Megastar added that after the debt and the interest are paid the value of the real estate investment is still higher.
