Here’s what Coney Reyes said about her son Vico Sotto
Veteran actress Coney Reyes was asked about her reaction to the achievements of her son Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
It is known to many that Mayor Vico is one of the young leaders in this generation who is leading by example. After he took oath as the new mayor of Pasig, he already started implementing change for the better for his constituents.
That is why it is not surprising that he was named as one of the Anticorruption Champions. With this, as a mother, Coney Reyes was asked to react during a recent media conference, based on the article in PEP.
“I am very proud of my son. I’m very grateful to the Lord for all the things He has been doing in him and through Him, kaya nga lagi kong sinasabi, ‘Glory to God,” the veteran actress said.
She added that she is happy that all the efforts of her son are being recognized, however, she said that he is not after the recognition. Mayor Vico said this himself that is why there is no photo of him posted on whatever project of the local government unit.
Coney also said that Vico is grateful for the recognition that he recently received. The actress hoped this will not just remain as an honor but it will also inspire other leaders, especially the younger generation, to serve better for the good of the community.
“It can happen, it is possible. We can do it together. But he realized he cannot do it alone. He has a great team. My son has a great staff, great team, and I’m thankful to the Lord for that,” Coney Reyes shared.
