Drug Suspect Killed In Bust Operation In Naga City
NAGA CITY – A drug suspect who is subject to illegal possession of firearms search was slain in a police operation in Naga City,
Local city police spokesperson Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon said that operatives were about to serve a search warrant on the suspect, identified as Dario Galon, at his residence in Barangay Del Rosario at 10:50 PM.
Galon ran upstairs to get a caliber .38 gun and fired at the police officers. This prompted the police to fire back, hitting Galon, Bongon added in his report.
The spokesman said that the suspect was taken to a hospital but was declared dead at 12:54 AM, Friday.
Recovered from the suspect were five cartridges for a caliber .38 pistol, two fired cartridge cases, two glass pipes, and two sachets of suspected illegal drugs.
In a separate drug report, five people were arrested in a joint buy bust operation in a drug den in Panabo City, Davao Del Norte.

The drug bust was conducted by operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region XI, Davao del Norte Police Office Provincial Intelligence Branch and the local city police.
Among them were two suspects said to be maintainers of the drug den.
