Wanted Robber Killed In Shootout In Norzagaray Town, Bulacan

NORZAGARAY TOWN – A man, who is wanted for robbery, was recently slain in a gunfight against cops in Norzagaray Town, Bulacan.

Bulacan provincial police director Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe identified the killed robber as Bernie Lastimoso of Brgy. Tigbe in the said town, according to a report from Manila Bulletin.

The suspect attempted to escape and opened fire at the police officers, which then fired back, resulting in the gunfight between the authorities and the robber. It ended with the death of the latter.

Recovered from the gunfight area were four fired cartridge cases of caliber .9mm, one caliber .38 revolver loaded with two fired cartridges, one live ammo, one fired bullet of caliber .38, and four sachets of illegal drugs, according to the report.

In a separate report, an alleged leader of a robbery group was slain in a shootout in Barangay San Jose, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.

The suspect died of multiple gunshot wounds on the head and chest on Saturday, February 20.

The suspect was said to be a member of the “Epogon robbery group” responsible for a series of robbery and holdup incidents in the city and Cauayan, Negros Occidental in the recent years.
