Beauty queen and actress Ruffa Gutierrez admitted something about Yilmaz Bektas.
RUFFA GUTIERREZ – Here are some revelations from Ruffa Gutierrez about her relationship with ex-husband Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas.
In a previous article, the mother of Ruffa Gutierrez, Annabelle Rama, revealed that she cried when she got a wedding invitation from her former husband Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas. He accordingly wished then to have his daughters – Lorin and Venice – be present on his big day.
A feisty woman that Annabelle is, she said to her daughter, “Bakit ka umiiyak? Gusto mong bumalik sa kanya para bugbugin ka naman? Hayaan mo na siya, meron ka na rin naming boyfriend na PG.”
She was referring to French Israeli Jordan Mouyal, however, their relationship ended after 6 years of being together. She expressed “para akong nabunutan ng tinik”, and added that she’s not yet ready for another one.
In speaking about her ex-husband, Ruffa revealed in a media conference that she and Bektas are talking to each other again. She admitted that he’s the only guy she’s been crying about up until now because what they have before left something deep in her.
She shared, “In seven to nine years na magkasama kami—nagpakasal kami, nagkaroon kami ng dalawang anak, lumipat ako ng ibang bansa, iniwan ko yung career ko, iniwan ko yung pamilya ko, naghiwalay kami. Ang daming ganap in those years. And siya yung klaseng pain na gusto mo nang kalimutan at ibaon sa lupa.”
It was accordingly the kind of pain she never wanted to go through again. She left him not because she fell out of love. She left because she realized self-love. He accordingly wanted to spend time with their daughters and make things right with them.
She insisted to him of doing it step by step. Ruffa added, “Let’s try to be co-parents to our children first, you know. Kasi, hanggang ngayon, ako daw ang pinaka-greatest love niya.”
To recall, Yilmaz gave Ruffa a fairytale wedding ceremony on March 25, 2003, which was then followed by a Muslim rites held in Arcarkent, Istanbul, Turkey on September 4, 2003. However, 4 years after as a married couple, they announced separation.
