What did Salvador Panelo say against Agot Isidro and Enchong Dee?
Presidential Chief Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo slammed celebrities Agot Isidro and Enchong Dee over the ABS-CBN franchise issue.
The two showbiz personalities just recently criticized President Rodrigo Duterte after his statement that he will not allow the Kapamilya network to have its franchise. As supporters of ABS-CBN, Agot and Enchong criticized the Chief Executive for what he said against the media giant.
The singer-actress stressed that PRRD was really the one who shut down the TV network and not the House of Representatives and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). “Si Duterte, utos nya, simulat-sapul,” she wrote in her Twitter post.
For Enchong, the President should prioritize other important matters in the country and not the franchise of ABS-CBN. “Andyan ka pa rin?? Hoy Gising! Ang daming Pilipino naghihirap ngayon, yun muna unahin natin kahit wala kaming franchise nakakapagbigay serbisyo kami,” he said in a Twitter post.
In line with this, Panelo fired back at the celebrities, based on the article in The Philippine Star. “
“Kayong dalawa Agot Isidro at saka itong batang-batang na kababayan natin na si Enchong Dee na nagbigay na naman ng kanilang mga pahayag, dismayado daw sila. Bakit naman daw itong si Presidente sasabihin na hindi niya papayagan na mag-operate kahit may prangkisa,” the official said.
He also questioned Agot and Enchong if they have plans to enter politics. “Ano ba kayo? Tatakbo ba kayo congressman? Tatakbo ba kayong konsehal o barangay kapitan? Eh hindi pa nga ninyo alam kung ano puno’t dulo basta na lang kayo pumapasok. Papakinggan ninyo muna. Know your facts. Research bago kayo magsalita,” Salvador Panelo said.
