Agot Isidro reacted to the recent statement of Pres. Duterte
Actress-singer Agot Isidro said that “it’s about time” after President Rodrigo Duterte said that he offered to resign due to corruption.
During the recent televised speech of the Chief Executive, he mentioned that he can’t stand the corruption in various agencies in the government. This garnered various reactions from the online community.
However, Senate President Tito Sotto said that the President is not the one who should resign but rather those “corrupt politicians”.
The hashtag “Paalam Duterte” topped the Twitter trend on September 29, Tuesday, because of the said statement of the President. One of the popular personalities who also reacted to this was Agot Isidro.
The singer-actress retweeted the tweet of GMA News reporter Joseph Morong which stated: “BREAKING: Pres. Duterte: I offered to resign as President. Kasi nagsasawa na ako sa corruption.”
Agot retweeted this with the caption telling netizens to take notice the number of retweets and likes. “The likes and retweets of this tweet. Could it be??? The tide is turning?” she wrote. Then, she used the hashtag “It’s about time”.
As of the writing, the said tweet of Morong already reached 2.6 thousands retweets, 12.1 thousands quote tweets, and 32.3 thousands likes.
Agot Isidro is a vocal critic of the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte. Through her social media, she has been expressing her views regarding certain issues in the government.
The singer-actress is also active in answering the bashers and those who are criticizing her for voicing out her opinions.
