Panelo Speaks On Christine Dacera Case
PANELO – Chief Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo reacted to Christine Dacera’s family not accepting the Philippine National Police (PNP) report.
The death of Christine Angelica Dacera has taken social media platforms by storm. The 23-year-old flight attendant was found dead in City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati City last January 1.
Dacera was with her friends at the Makati hotel for a year-end party. They were introduced by one of their friends to some people staying in another room. According to her companions, they had hard drinks and they also played some parlor games.
However, the following morning, Dacera was reportedly found dead in a bathtub in the hotel. Investigations are ongoing regarding her death.
Recently, the Philippine National Police (PNP) submitted a medico-legal report that stated ruptured aortic aneurysm as the cause of her death. However, the family of Dacera does not believe it.
Chief Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo recently reacted to Christine Dacera’s family not accepting the medico-legal report of the PNP. Based on a report on The Manila Times, the lawyer advised the family of the flight attendant to stop insisting that there’s a foul play in her death.
Panelo is urging the Dacera family to accept the findings of the PNP and also stressed that it is a relief that her death was because of a natural cause.
“Kaganda ganda nga na namatay out of natural causes instead of may crime na ginawa eh ba’t ninyo pagpipilitan pa rin na may crime?” he said based on the report.
The Chief Legal Counsel further said it is already too obvious and there must be no insisting of a crime unless there is another agenda.
