Pokwang Compares Government to Mayor Vico Salary Increase to Pasig Health Aide
Comedienne Pokwang reacts to Mayor Vico Sotto salary increase to the health aid of Pasig City wishing that the Philippine government do that also.
On Twitter, The TV5’s Chika Besh host Pokwang expresses her reactions to the salary increase of Pasig City Mayor to his health aide constituents. Pokwang posted an artcard from Lionheart Tv in which the Mayor stated the salary increase to health aide workers.
“Ngayong taon tinaasan natin ang sahod ng mga Pasig Health Aide mula P5,000 kada buwan hanggang P12,000. Mabigat ang katungkulan ng mga health center personnel natin, at madadagdagan pa ang responsibilidad nila. Kaya hindi sila dapat underpaid,” Mayor Vico said.

Pokwang then stressed that these kinds of move should the government do amid the pandemic and price hike of market goods. She said that increasing the salary of frontliners should be prioritize.
“Ito yung dapat unahin ang pagtaas ng sahod muna ng mga manggagawa lalo na mga frontliners,” she wrote.
“Hindi yung kung anik anik nalang na law nayan na wala sa timing! 500 na kilo ng baboy tapos ang sweldo mo nasa 300 to 500 lang ano ito?” she added pointing out the pork meat rise in the market.
