Is it true that celebrities are sometimes the ones who spread their controversial photos and videos?
A showbiz insider claim that there are times that celebrities, for publicity purposes, are the ones who are spreading their controversial photos or videos that are manipulated or digitally edited.
These past few days, the online community talked about the manipulated photo of young actresses Sue Ramirez and Mariz Racal. It appeared in the photo that they weren’t wearing any clothes on.
However, the two female celebrities showed the original photo and condemned the spreader of the fake photo. They also condemned the act of putting one’s reputation into a shameful situation.
Later on, Barbie Imperial also cried foul as she became a victim, as well, of this online disgrace.
Talking to a talent manager and a celebrity publicist who both refused to be identified, Philstar’s Jan Milo Severo wrote the alleged stories behind the spread of the controversial photos.
The talent manager and the celebrity publicist revealed that some celebrities would initiate the spread of edited photos or videos “without letting his or her talent managers know, just to get his or her name out there or to allegedly score a bigger offer from projects — or from indecent proposals.”
Two publicists were asked about this but they denied the allegation and said that they would never do this. “I don’t think it’s right and degrading for the female artist especially na maging resort just to be talked about. ‘Yon ang point of view ko as PR,” one publicist said.
The other publicist pointed out that if the claim of the showbiz insider was true, no talent or talent manager would ever admit this. “Kung meron mang gumagawa or gumawa n’yan, sa tingin mo, aaminin ba nila? Hahahaha!” the other publicist said.
“Who knows? Maybe it’s the artist mismo who does it intentionally,” the publicist added.
