Waiter Receives Defective Phone From Seller After Mobile Phone for Child’s Online Class

A waiter identified as alyas “Tony” has ordered an “iPhone” for his child’s online but received a fake item from the seller.

Alyas Tony ordered an iPhone 11 worth P6, 500 for his 8-year-old kid’s online class. Original iPhone 11 has price ranging from P40, 000 to P50, 000 but the phone he saw on Facebook is much cheaper.

After a few days, the excited father received the phone and tried to switch it on but discovered that it was fake. The mobile phone is not functional and could not be charged, so he contacted the seller for instruction.

“‘Di pa rin siya nagcha-charge hanggang sa uminit na ang phone. ‘Di naman siya naka-charge, tapos umiinit na siya. Tapos hindi na namin mabuksan,” Tony said.

The online seller named Julie Hang on Facebook gave some advice to Tony but the phone remains malfunctioning. He asked for a refund from the lady seller but the latter eventually blocked him.

The police authorities assisted Tony with his problem and one of his friends pretended to order a phone from the same seller. The cops arrested the delivery rider identified as alyas “Tom” after delivering the item.
