PNP Chief Sinas Says Killing Ex-Jolo Chief is Revenge for 4 Jolo Soldiers’ Death
Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Major General Debold Sinas claimed that killing ex-Jolo Chief is a revenge for 4 Jolo cops death.
According to Sinas, the reason for the killing of the former Jolo police chief is the retaliation for the death of four policemen in Jolo. He revealed that one of the suspects in the assassination of Jolo Chief was a relative of one of the slain Army intelligence agents in Sulu by the alleged Jolo policemen.
“Most likely that’s one of the angles that they took vengeance,” Sinas told reporters who attended the PNP anniversary at Camp Crame.

He did not name which of the suspects he referred to as relatives of the slain soldier. Despite this, Sinas assured that the seven suspects in the murder of Lt. Col. Walter Annayo, former Jolo police chief, in Maguindanao in 2020.
Annayo was removed as Jolo police chief after the killing of four soldiers by the alleged nine policemen of the town. Last year, on June 29, four Philippine Army Intelligence were killed in Jolo Sulu while inside SUV.
According to the previous article, the military men were tracking suspects involved in the Sulu bombing when the shooting incident happened. The National Bureau of Investigation filed complaints about four counts of murder and planting of evidence.
