PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates for Saturday (January 23)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and the shear line would affect the country’s weather condition.

On Saturday (January 23, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. PAGASA said that the LPA and shear line would bring rains over some parts of the country.

PAGASA reported that a Low Pressure Area has been spotted at 185 km West Northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan. The Tail-end of Frontal System would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos Region.

Meanwhile, the localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the extreme northern Luzon would remain moderate. The surrounding sea conditions over the rest of the country would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
