The “hair flip” that CNN Philippines broadcast journalist Pinky Webb did during an interview with Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque went viral.
Pinky was asking questions to the Presidential Spokesperson regarding the issue on the UP-DND Accord abrogation that received criticism from members of the online community.
People from different walks of life have expressing their views after the Department of National Defense (DND) announced that it is scrapping 1989 agreement with the University of the Philippines (UP). The agreement between two entities is not allowing the presence of police and military inside the campus without prior notice, based on the article from Inquirer.
In line with this issue, Pinky Webb interviewed Harry Roque. Clips of the said interview on CNN Philippines showed that the Presidential Spokesperson was accusing the broadcaster of the not being fair.
Then, Pinky flipped her hair and said, “I am trying to be fair, Secretary Roque.” However, the government official insisted that she is not. It can be seen in the video that the broadcast journalist sighed and smiled.
