Concerned Netizen Gives Useful Tips After Victimized by Scam
SCAM – A concerned netizen has shared some useful tips on what to do after victimized by scam via online banking.
A Facebook user named John Gabriel Diño Ponferrado has shared some useful tips for scam victims. The netizen himself admitted that he is also a victim of scam. The post garnered various reactions online.
Ponferrado narrated that he lost P2,700 cash to a scammer last January 10, 2021. He send the cash via Gcash but the culprit went offline during their transaction. At first, he did not think that the transaction is a fraud.
John Gabriel immediately contacted Gcash support to the fraudster’s account and asked advice from the firm. The concerned netizen also went to the nearest police station to file an incident report.
The scam victim went to the Anti-CryberCrime Team to report the incident. He has been require to bring his complaint form to a lawyer for public notary.
