Young Lady Expresses Dismay Over Alleged Shopee Scam and Bogus Delivery Rider Who Delivered Used Shoes

A young lady exposed an alleged Shopee scam and the bogus delivery rider who delivered a used shoes on their house.

A Facebook user named Yang Villanueva has shared the photos of a bogus delivery rider who delivered a parcel she did not ordered. The post is now circulating online and elicits comments from the netizens.

Villanueva narrated that a delivery rider arrived at their house to deliver a parcel. The rider charged them P300 for the parcel and she paid the amount. The item has no further details from the seller and the information was just handwritten.

The female customer opened the parcel and found a used shoes inside the package. She tried to ask the rider but the culprit had already ran away using its motorcycle. She also warned her family regarding the incident.

The young lady warned the public to check the parcel’s label to avoid falling into the scheme of scammers. She has also reported the incident on their barangay hall and raised public awareness regarding riders with no proper uniform or box.

BEWARE: SHOPEE SCAM

Past 8am today, may shopee na dumating sa bahay. Tinanong ng kuya ko kung para kanino and the delivery man said na para sakin daw. Sa isip ko, wala naman akong pinadeliver. I thought na para sa kuya ko yung parcel. The total amount was 300 daw so nagbigay ako ng 1k sa kuya ko para yun muna yung ibayad. Buti nalang di tinanggap nung nag deliver saying na wala pa syang barya. Saktong 300 binayad ng kuya ko. Then binuksan namin yung parcel, wala syang sticker ng info from seller and info ko. Si kuyang nag deliver mukhang nasa 20s. Nakasuot lang ng pambahay, sumbrero and walang mask. Nung nabuksan na namin, gamit na shoes ang laman. Pagsilip namin wala na sya sa labas.

Note that kakagising lang namin pareho ng kuya ko when this happened. Just posting thigs for you to be aware na may ganitong scam. Lesson narin to para samin. I suggest na kapag may mga pinapadeliver tayo sirain natin yung info na nakalagay sa parcel and sabihan yung family members kapag may ini-expect tayong package na darating and magkano para maiwasan to kasi di natin alam na baka sa susunod mas malaking halaga na yung makuha.

PS: May parcel po ulit na dumating at para sakin daw this afternoon. buti nireplyan ko po agad yung mga kasama ko sa bahay na wala akong inorder na relo. tinanong nila kung ano yung parcel sabi ng rider “casio po ata” pano mo malalaman laman nyan kuya? nung sinabi naming di namin babayaran sabi nya lang sa kuya ko “i cancel nya nalang sa app” tas umalis na sya bigla.
