ARMY Uses #CayetanoStopUsingBTS To Protest Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano’s Plan

#CAYETANOSTOPUSINGBTS – Fans slammed Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano for using the name of the South Korean boy band BTS for his political motives

The Bangtan Boys also known as the BTS is a 7-member South Korean boy band. The septet is composed of V, Jungkook, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, and Jin.

The K-pop group debuted in 2013 under the ‘Big Hit Entertainment. In August last year, the boyband released their new single “Dynamite.” It’s their first all-English song since their debut.

BTS’ single ‘Dynamite’ has broken records and they became the first all-Korean pop act to top the Billboard 100 singles chart. The K-pop group’s fans or “ARMY” were all happy about the group’s achievement.

In an article for The Philippine Daily Inquirer, Broadway star Lea Salonga revealed how she became part of the BTS ARMY and why “Dynamite” is so important in 2020.

Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano is reportedly launching a political bloc in the House of the Representative and he’s planning to use ‘BTS’ for politics

He is planning to launch a new bloc called “BTS sa Kongreso.” It is composed of himself and six of his allies just like the number of members of the famous South Korean boy band.

Alan Peter Cayetano informed that media that he, Anakalusugan’s Mike Defensor, Batangas Rep. Ranie Abu, Bulacan Rep. Kuya Sy-Alvarado, Laguna Rep. Dan Fernandez, Capiz Rep. Fred Castro, and Camarines Sur Rep. Ray Villafuerte, will be introducing themselves as “BTS sa Kongreso.”

ARMY took to Twitter and used the #CayetanoStopUsingBTS to protest the plan and slam him for using the group’s name. Here are the messages posted on Twitter:
