On Saturday morning (January 9, 2021), the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) reported that 22,840 devotees have been recorded along the vicinity of Quiapo Church.

The Manila City government has removed some of the traditional events during the Feast of the Black Nazarene. “Pahalik” has been canceled and replaced by “pagtanaw” or “pagpupugay” to pay tribute to the wooden statue.
