PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day January 7, 2021 (Thursday).

The 4 AM daily weather forecast from the state weather bureau says that Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ will continue to affect Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon or amihan will affect Luzon.

According to the website, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be faced by Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region; and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Visayas and rest of Mindanao will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast and coastal water condition, Luzon will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast direction, while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast to east direction, while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast to east direction, while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.
