Former Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali Dies at 63 Due to Cardiac Arrest
Ex-Oriental Mindoro Representative Reynaldo Umali has passed away at the age of 63 after suffering from cardiac arrest.
On Thursday morning (January 7, 2020), incumbent Oriental Mindoro Representative Alfonso Umali confirmed that his brother former Oriental Mindoro Representative Reynaldo Umali has passed away.
Reynaldo Umali tests positive for the coronavirus disease and diagnosed with Stage 3 liver cancer back in December 2020, which eventually aggravated to Stage 4 within a couple of days, according to his brother.

Alfonso also revealed that the health exerts found a bacteria in Reynaldo’s liver and his blood pressure dropped. Reynaldo suffered cardiac arrest because of his worsening condition, which leads to his untimely death.
“Kahapon nakakakita ng bacteria sa kanyang liver. Ngayong umaga, bumaba na ang dugo niya tapos nag-cardiac arrest kaninang umaga,” the late politician said.
The 63-year-politician served as chair of the House Committee on Justice during the 17th Congress. He also served as a representative of the second district of Oriental Mindoro from the year 2010 until 2019.
