Here’s what Charlie Dizon told her mother about her movie ‘Fan Girl’
MMFF 2020 Best Actress Charlie Dizon shared that she told her mother not to watch her new movie ‘Fan Girl’ with Paulo Avelino.
Indeed, the popularity of Charlie skyrocketed overnight after she was hailed as the Best Actress for this year’s annual film festival. Aside from this award-winning film of director Antoinette Jadaone, the 24-year old actress is also thankful to be part of the movie Four Sisters Before the Wedding where she played the younger character of Toni Gonzaga.
Before 2020 ends another milestone in her career happened. Although MMFF has embraced the new normal also, the success of Fan Girl is indeed overwhelming as it was recognized abroad prior to its showing in the Philippines.
However, based on the article from Bandera, Charlie Dizon shared that as much as possible, she does not want her mother to watch the award-winning film.
“Kinakabahan pa rin ako sa totoo lang. Sinabi ko sa mommy ko na huwag niya panoorin. Pero kasi madami daw nagme-message sa kanya na mga friends niya kaya nababalitan niya,” the actress shared.
She explained that there are scenes that she and Paulo did not plan prior to the camera rolling. “Pero nagtiwala naman ako kasi alam ko na planado din nila yun and alam nila yung gagawin. Kumbaga nawarningan naman nila ako dati na parang surprise din para maging raw and mas natural yung magiging reactions ko,” the actress added.
The actress also said that she just trusted her director and her leading man that the scenes will turn out well for the movie.
