Charlie Dizon Not Talking To Paulo Avelino During ‘Fan Girl’ Shooting, Here’s Why

Here’s the reason why Charlie Dizon and Paulo Avelino are not talking amid the ‘Fan Girl’ shooting.

CHARLIE DIZON – 24-year-old actress Charlie Dizon was forbidden to talk to Paulo Avelino while shooting ‘Fan Girl’, film director reveals why.

The ‘Fan Girl’ film bagged the most awards during the Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal this year. It is directed by Antoinette Jadaone who earned the Best Director award. Other awards that the film and its stars bagged are as follows:

  • BEST ACTRESS (Charlie Dizon)
  • BEST ACTOR (Paulo Avelino)
  • BEST VIRTUAL FLOAT (3rd place)

In the film, Dizon played the role of a teenager who is obsessed with an actor played by Avelino. Her fantasies about him turned a nightmare when she got the chance to be with him. However, amid the filming, the director revealed that she forbade Dizon to talk to the actor.

Briefly explaining, Jadaone admitted on her Instagram Q&A, “Fan siya dito, hindi artista.”

Also, to ensure and for her instruction to be strictly followed, Dizon was given a separate air-conditioned tent just to put a distance between her and Avelino. During a blogger’s conference, Jadaone shared that she wanted to preserve the awkwardness between the two leads.

“I think nag-work naman kasi ang ginawa namin sa shoot, iyong first part ng script, first part talaga ng shoot namin ginawa,” she added. In terms of doing some intimate scenes, Charlie said that although briefed and warned, she doesn’t know the whole script as it was not given to her. She just trusted her director and the actor.

And the approaches that the director has done have made the two leads earn the top acting awards in the 46th MMFF Gabi ng Parangal held last December 27.
