Television Kissing Scenes in Colombia Returns Amid Health Crisis
Colombian television kissing scenes returned despite coronavirus pandemic after six months of silence due to health protocols.
The popular daytime soap operas are now back in steamy and corny glory scenes including kissing scenes after six months of silence. The telenovelas were forced off the screen due to the health crisis.
The TV show “Coffee with the Scent of a Woman” is now operating under strict restrictions. The cast and staff of the show are required to observe safety protocols such as wearing of face masks, social distancing and regular COVID-19 testing.
However, the physical distancing measures seems to be unavoidable in the showbiz industry due to the numbers of people working in close proximity behind the camera. The entire production staff take COVID-19 tests every Monday to ensure the safety of everyone.
Director Mauricio Cruz that the show is already conducting kissing scenes for promotional material but explained that all is safe before shooting the scenes. “Yesterday we did a kiss scene for some promotional material … the test was the day before so … we were very safe,” Cruz said.
The actors and actresses are taking off their face masks and PPEs once the camera rolls but strictly observed the protocols when off cam.

Colombia has over 1.5 million cases of coronavirus and has more than 42, 000 deaths on their records.
