VICE PRESIDENT ROBREDO – The statement about the pricing of rice porridge or ‘lugaw’ is not from her, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo clarified.

There were several times since she assumed office when the Vice President was done ill by other people. Recently, a statement allegedly from her crossed the surface.

Vice President Robredo denied the statement about the pricing of rice porridge or lugaw that is allegedly from her office. The said statement made it appear that the Vice President is justifying her alleged claim that Filipinos are spending Php 1,600.00 every month for the rice porridge alone.

There was a calculation indicated – Php 4.00 multiplied to 10 kilos of rice per week than multiplied to four (4) weeks. The statement made it appear that Vice President Robredo justified that the Php 1,600.00 already includes the chicken and all the other ingredients in making a porridge.

Furthermore, the statement accused the media and the supporters of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte of taking her statement out of context. Undeniably, it might trigger an issue.

In her caption, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo laughed and said that “obviously” the statement is not hers. She asked the public to report anyone who shares or spreads it.
