Jed Madela will lead the New Year Countdown 2021 concert
Singer Jed Madela will be leading the live concert that will be part of the celebration of New Year Countdown 2021.
As Filipinos are so festive during the holiday season, various events are being held in different parts of the country. Gatherings and parties are everywhere, including reunions.
However, amid the pandemic, the tradition is also affected. Mass gatherings are now prohibited and there and certain restrictions are being implemented in order to ensure the safety of the people.
On the other hand, despite the pandemic, Jed Madela and other stars are set to give excitement and jubilant vibe to people for the New Year Countdown 2021.
Based on the article from ABS-CBN, the said event is the “first and only live New Year countdown concert.” This will be held on December 31 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater that is at the Resorts World Manila.
The star-studded concert will also feature performances from Morisette Amon, Jona, Jon Santos, and other artists. Dubbed New Year. New Hope. New Thrills, this concert is considered as the first and only concert that will be held live since March 2020.
When the lockdown was implemented, almost all showbiz engagements went virtual and that included shows and concerts.
Jed Madela expressed excitement to lead this upcoming event. “This is historic for us. I am both excited and confident that we can pull this through with the proper guidance and health protocols. I hope this can jumpstart the return of live performances,” the singer said.
Based on the article, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo artistic director of Resorts World Full House Theater Company said that they intended to have a live audience. They are also hoping that they will get the approval of the IATF for the New Year Countdown 2021 live concert.
