2 Individuals in South Cotabato Arrested After Selling Fake Canadian Gold Bars
Two individuals have been arrested by the police authorities after selling fake Canadian gold bars in Banga, South Cotabato.
Nowadays, some people are already desperate to earn money in any means and even engaging in illegal activities as the coronavirus pandemic continue to affect the public’s health and the global economy.
On Wednesday (December 9, 2020), it has been reported that two male residents have been arrested by the authorities for selling fake gold bars. The suspects have been identified as Boy Minang Faan and Dante Atam Fundo.
The two have been arrested during an entrapment operation. The suspects were about to sold the fake Canadian gold bar for P100,000. Faan explained that someone sent them the gold bars without knowing that it was fake.
Fundo did not give any comment regarding the incident and just accepted the consequence of their actions.
Meanwhile, the police authorities raided an illegal cockpit in Ormoc City, Leyte after receiving a tip. The cops arrest six individuals involved on the illegal gambling and recovered two lifeless roosters and P700 cash.
