Pangasinan Government Probes Funeral Homes Over Protocol Violations

FUNERAL HOMES- Pangasinan local government conducts investigation to funeral homes for alleged health protocol violations.

In a report of GMA’s Unang Balita, several funeral homes are being investigated by the local government of San Carlos City in Pangasinan for allegedly violating health and safety protocols.

The mayor of the city himself allegedly witnessed the burial of the funeral homes. Violation includes non-compliance with a limited number of hill attendants and guests.

According to the regulations, the hill should only be up to five days long and 30 people can only attend the burial. However, the funeral homes insisted that they continue to be reminded and implementing the rules.

The health department has limited wakes and burials to families as it barred the public from holding mass gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The national government has set guidelines for holding wakes and burials under community quarantine status.

For deaths unrelated to COVID-19, the immediate family of the deceased and ministers or officiants are allowed only to attend wakes. For deaths due to COVID-19, bodies must be placed in cadaver bags which are wrapped, sealed, and sprayed with sodium hydrochloride. The remains should be cremated within 12 hours.

Meanwhile, two male friends in Mangaldan, Pangasinan joined force to molest their drunk male friend. They intoxicate their male friend that he deeply falls asleep, then their filthy activity started.
