Netizens Are Loving Darren Espanto’s Holiday Song ‘Believe in Christmas’

Filipino-Canadian singer Darren Espanto rose to prominence after joining ABS-CBN’s reality singing tv competition “The Voice Kids Philippines.” He later became part of the ‘Star Magic.’
Last March 15, the 19-year-old celebrity left the Philippines for Canada. It was the time before the COVID-19 pandemic situation worsened worldwide.
After his eight months stay in Canada, Darren Espanto released his much-awaited Christmas song titled “Believe in Christmas.” Based on a report from ABS-CBN, the holiday song was composed by song maker Tiny Corpuz. Darren said he immediately fell I love with the song’s message.
Corpuz is one of the collaborators of ABS-CBN’s Christmas songs such as “Family is Love” and “Family is Forever.” Two weeks ago, Darren shared a teaser of his much-awaited song in a virtual interview.
“I immediately fell in love with the message of the song. Nag-stand out siya sa family ko. It’s a modern Christmas anthem which everyone can relate to. It speaks of joy, love, faith and gratitude,” he said.

Darren Espanto believes that although it’s going to be a different kind of Christmas this year, it still has to be celebrated. On Sunday, November 29, Darren Espanto’s holiday song became the number 1 topic on Twitter. The music video was shot in Canada. As of this writing, the video has garnered 324,468 views.
