What’s the next step for Star Magic talents?
ABS-CBN talent management company Star Magic has several talents who are not divulging yet their plans, an insider revealed.
As the franchise application of the Kapamilya network was not granted by the Congress, it has now a limited platform where its shows can be aired.
Shows of ABS-CBN have been airing on the Kapamilya channel, iWanTV app, The Filipino Channel (TFC), as well as on the social media platforms of the network. Although these are broad platforms, it is still unlike the free TV in which people from the most remote areas can still watch.
Because of this, several shows already went off the air and the media company had to let go of many of its employees and talents. Even Star Magic announced that it is already allowing its talents to do projects in other networks.
Based on the article from Abante, the talent management of ABS-CBN accepts the fact that its talent will transfer to another company that would manage their career. There were managers who already pulled out their talents who are being co-managed by Star Magic.
On the other hand, there were still those who expressed loyalty to the Kapamilya network amid this crisis that ABS-CBN is facing. Some of the talent who said that they will remain a Kapamilya are Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, and Kim Chiu.
Based on the article, a person working in Star Magic said that they are still “nakikiramdam” when it comes to who among the talents will seek the service of other talent management companies. “We’re not sure. Syempre, naglilihim din ang iba,” the insider shared.
Many of the talents of ABS-CBN are already starting to have a fresh start on TV5.
