CDC Panel To Vote On Who’d Be Given Priority For The COVID-19 Vaccine
CDC PANEL TO VOTE – Vaccine Priority has been a highly debated issue as the COVID-19 vaccines are set for distribution.
As such, a panel of U.S. advisers will gather on Tuesday to give a vote on how scarce initial supplies of the coronavirus vaccine will be available once given authorization. Most experts in the U.S. proposed giving vaccines to health workers first.
Furthermore, high priority would be given to workers in essential industries, people with pre-existing medical conditions, and those aged above 65 years old.
Meanwhile, in the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte emphasized that those who would be given vaccine priority would be officers from the police and the military. He explained that officers are required to get vaccinated first because they would be the ones to distribute the vaccine.
Manufacturers already have started stockpiling their COVID-19 vaccine doses. Additionally, the leading names in the Vaccine race, Pfizer is already in anticipation of eventual approval, but the first shots will be in short supply and rationed.
