Young Boy Makes Heartbreaking Sacrifice for Paralyzed Grandmother
A young boy goes and earns praises from the netizens because of his heartbreaking sacrifice for his beloved grandmother.
A Facebook user named Raymon Garcia Dullana has shared the photos of a poor boy named Larry Rueco who sacrificed a lot for his paralyzed grandmother Lola Luz Mabuti. The post is now circulating online.
Lola Luz Mabuti and her 13-year-old grandson have been victimized by the severe flooding in barangay Solana, Cagayan. The massive flooding damaged their possessions and poor home making their situation much worse.
Larry Rueco is living with his old grandma at a core shelter provided by the Philippine government for the less-fortunate Filipino people. He is the one who is taking care of his grandma all the time.
Lola Luz gets paralyzed last December 2019, since then Larry is the one who feeding, bathing, and taking care of him. The young boy has also stopped going to school after his grandma gets paralyzed.
The elderly lady and the poor boy were just living in a small space with damaged windows, no electricity, and just cooking meals using scrap woods.

“THE HEARTBREAKING SACRIFICE OF A YOUNG BOY FOR HIS GRANDMOTHER
We visited Lola Luz Mabuti today in a remote barangay in Solana, Cagayan. My post about her dreadful situation during the floods yesterday went viral, and people are starting to come forward to help her. Pero ang istorya ng kanyang apo ang sobrang nakakaantig, at lubos na nakakalungkot.
Siya si Larry Rueco Jr, 13 years old. Siya ngayon ang nag-iisang kasama ni lola sa kanilang maliit na bahay sa isang core shelter (pabahay ng gobyerno). Mahiyain. Hindi gaanong nagsasalita. Pero ang hindi mo aakalaing sa murang edad, siya ngayong mag-isa ang nag-aalaga sa kanyang lolang naparalisa simula pa noong Disyembre 2019. Ang kanyang titong walang asawa ang nagtutustos ng kanilang pangkain, pero dahil kung saan saan lang nagko konstruksyon ay hindi na nakakauwi ito.
Siya ang nagpapakain, nagpapainom, nagpapaligo, nagpapalit ng diaper, naglilinis ng dumi. Ang bigat na pasanin na hindi naman sa kanya, buong pusong tinitiis.
Ang masaklap pa, simula noong naparalisa ang kanyang lola, hindi na nakapag-aral si Larry. Hindi na niya natapos ang kanyang Grade 5 schooling.
Maliit lamang kanilang bahay. Sira sira ang bintana. Walang sariling kuntador. At sa kahoy lang nagluluto.
Sa sahig na may manipis na banig nakahiga ang may katandaan na niyang lola. Si Larry naman, sa isang munting duyan lang natutulog habang binabantayan ang lolang hindi na makatayo at makapagsalita.
Sa isang ideal na mundo, walang puwang ang kalagayan ng mga batang katulad ni Larry. Sila dapat ay nag-aaral, ine enjoy ang pagkabata.
Kasama ko Sir Jude Tuliao Bayona, nangako kaming babalikan si Larry at hahanapan ng mabuting taong magpapaaral sa kanya. Alam kong mabuti at matatag ang kanyang kalooban dahil nagawa niyang magsakripisyo para sa kanyang lola. Deserve niya ang magandang buhay.
