Message of Vice Pres. Robredo for the KPOP Fans

ROBREDO – Vice President Leni Robredo took to social media a message for the KPOP fans and supporters.

A lot of people are staying in evacuation centers now following the onslaught of typhoons Rolly and Ulysses. These two recent tropical storms that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) brought severe damages to several areas.

In fact, many areas were only starting to recover from Typhoon Rolly when Typhoon Ulysses came and brought heavy rains triggering flood again. One of these areas is Catanduanes.

The province of Catanduanes faced both landslide and flood as triggered by Ulysses. In Rizal, residents climbed their rooftops as the water level rose amid the onslaught of the tropical storm.

The same scenario took place in Marikina. Many residents had to climb their rooftops to get away from the rising water level. Mayor Marcy Teodoro sought the help of the national government as the city government’s 50 rubber boats were not enough to rescue everyone.

Cagayan province also incurred damages from Typhoon Ulysses. Amid the onslaught of the tropical storm, even the rescuers found it hard to enter the place due to the strong current of water.
